What if your copy outlives you?
Your face, your voice, your memories... all clonable. Some already on the market. From griefbots that let the dead “reply” to deepfake influencers making rent, digital twins are quietly hijacking identity.
In this session, Íñigo Cavestany Villegas, builder of strange futures, takes us into the messy question of selfhood-as-software. He’s seen how AI can amplify human potential in classrooms, companies and games, but he’s also asking the thing you’d rather avoid: If I can be copied, what makes me irreplaceable?
We’ll wander into:
– Are digital twins remembrance or control
– Whether being remembered is just code for being monetized
– What death, privacy and consent even mean when your self is a dataset
And because philosophy always pairs better with good wine, this edition happens at Madrid’s newest French wine and tapas bar, Amis, famous for its killer mousse and endless wall of bottles.
So tell me, would you actually trust your clone?
💡 Refund policy: Full refunds are only available until September 1st. If you choose not to come after that, you’re welcome to sell your ticket in the Sobremesa group or to a friend — just send us a quick email at [email protected] to let us know.
