Proceeds to Support SheBoot
SheBoot is a national non-profit headquartered in Ottawa that prepares women-identifying founders across Canada to pitch their business and secure investment. Founded in 2020, SheBoot empowers women entrepreneurs by increasing both the number of women making investments and the number of women entrepreneurs receiving investment.
The annual SheBoot program provides intensive investment-readiness training that culminates in a pitch competition for a minimum of $300,000 in equity-based investment, contributed by a collective of 30 women angel investors dedicated to supporting the next generation of women-owned and led firms.
To date, SheBoot has mobilized 55 women angels who have invested $1.6 million in Canadian women-led tech startups, while supporting 78 founders who have collectively raised over $50 million + in follow-on funding.
