​Gufy Dox is a performing poet and filmmaker known for blending spoken word, film and cultural storytelling. He has built a reputation over the past decade for his creative performances, poetry albums and travel projects.

​Gufy continues to redefine the art of performance poetry with a string of carefully curated experiences. His upcoming showcase, “Mapenzi Wewe” (May 1st–3rd), promises to be a heartfelt exploration of love in all its forms.

​Fresh off the success of his record-breaking poetry album, the most streamed in East and Central Africa, Gufy partnered with Spotify Africa to stage the electrifying live performance “The Kids Are Alive.”

​His creative journey has also birthed unforgettable events such as “From What We Have Lost” and “You Remind Me of Someone”, each resonating deeply with audiences.

​Crowned Kenya Poetry Slam Champion and backed by over a decade of writing and performing, Gufy now turns his attention to nurturing new voices. He will lead “Let Me Tell You Something”, a dynamic writing workshop designed to empower young poets and storytellers in South Sudan — offering them tools, mentorship, and a platform to amplify their craft.
