Gufy continues to redefine the art of performance poetry with a string of carefully curated experiences. His upcoming showcase, “Mapenzi Wewe” (May 1st–3rd), promises to be a heartfelt exploration of love in all its forms.
Fresh off the success of his record-breaking poetry album, the most streamed in East and Central Africa, Gufy partnered with Spotify Africa to stage the electrifying live performance “The Kids Are Alive.”
His creative journey has also birthed unforgettable events such as “From What We Have Lost” and “You Remind Me of Someone”, each resonating deeply with audiences.
Crowned Kenya Poetry Slam Champion and backed by over a decade of writing and performing, Gufy now turns his attention to nurturing new voices. He will lead “Let Me Tell You Something”, a dynamic writing workshop designed to empower young poets and storytellers in South Sudan — offering them tools, mentorship, and a platform to amplify their craft.
