​About Nitya Kaushik
​Nitya Kaushik is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at UWMC known for her compassion, resilience, and dedication to patient care. With years of experience in anesthesia and perioperative care, she has built a reputation as a skilled clinician and a strong advocate for patient safety.
​In 2024, Nitya was diagnosed with breast cancer—a life-changing moment that tested her strength and resolve. Throughout her treatment journey, she faced each challenge with courage, turning her personal battle into a platform for raising awareness and supporting others affected by the disease.
​Now in remission, Nitya continues her work in healthcare with renewed purpose. Her experience as both a medical professional and a patient gives her a unique perspective, deepening her empathy and strengthening her commitment to holistic care.
​Nitya also speaks publicly about her journey, aiming to inspire hope and promote early detection and support for breast cancer patients. She is a living testament to the power of perseverance, self-care, and community.
