Relighting After the Fact: Inside Beeble, with Conrad Curtis

This session we're taking apart one tool: Beeble.

Conrad Curtis, who runs production and partnerships at Beeble, is joining us to walk through what it actually does — SwitchLight's video-to-PBR pass, relighting footage after the shoot, background and prop replacement in SwitchX, and the on-prem 4K setup they shipped with Beeble Studio.

Then we open it up. If you've run footage through Beeble — or anything adjacent — come ready with a 3–5 minute case study. I'll kick things off, hand to Conrad, then moderate a lightning round so as many people as possible get the mic. Please be mindful of time.

What we're looking for:

  • Video-to-video with real source-driver coherence

  • How you shoot when you know the footage is getting transformed — lighting, coverage, what you protect on set

  • What the PBR passes (normal, albedo, roughness, depth) actually buy you downstream

  • Where it holds up, where it breaks, and what you had to fix by hand

  • Off-the-shelf vs. enterprise: what's realistic on a real schedule

This is not a showcase for finished films. It's a working session for people testing workflows, comparing tools, and pushing the medium forward. Bring what worked, what didn't, and where you think this is heading.
