Emergency Session: Relighting After the Fact w/ BEEBLE
Relighting After the Fact: Inside Beeble, with Conrad Curtis
This session we're taking apart one tool: Beeble.
Conrad Curtis, who runs production and partnerships at Beeble, is joining us to walk through what it actually does — SwitchLight's video-to-PBR pass, relighting footage after the shoot, background and prop replacement in SwitchX, and the on-prem 4K setup they shipped with Beeble Studio.
Then we open it up. If you've run footage through Beeble — or anything adjacent — come ready with a 3–5 minute case study. I'll kick things off, hand to Conrad, then moderate a lightning round so as many people as possible get the mic. Please be mindful of time.
What we're looking for:
Video-to-video with real source-driver coherence
How you shoot when you know the footage is getting transformed — lighting, coverage, what you protect on set
What the PBR passes (normal, albedo, roughness, depth) actually buy you downstream
Where it holds up, where it breaks, and what you had to fix by hand
Off-the-shelf vs. enterprise: what's realistic on a real schedule
This is not a showcase for finished films. It's a working session for people testing workflows, comparing tools, and pushing the medium forward. Bring what worked, what didn't, and where you think this is heading.
