CNG Japan
A half-day Cloud-Native Geospatial Forum (CNG) gathering outside of Tokyo in Yokohama, hosted at JAMSTEC's Yokohama Institute for Earth Sciences (YES). This event is designed to bring the local CNG community together for an afternoon of demos, talks, and conversation. The intention of this event is for practitioners working in and around Japan to show off what they're building, meet each other in person, and plug into the broader CNG network.
The event will be start at 1 PM and run into the evening, ending with a reception held at JAMSTEC's Yokohama Institute for Earth Sciences (YES).
CNG Japan is the second stop on the 2026 CNG global event series: London, England (June 23), Yokohama, Japan (August 24), NYC, USA (September 24), CNG Forum 2026 at Snowbird, Utah, USA (October 6–9), and Zürich, Switzerland (October 29). It's also deliberately timed for the day before the STAC Japan workshop at JAXA Tsukuba (August 25–27), so practitioners traveling internationally can hit both events on the same trip and continue on to FOSS4G 2026 in Hiroshima the following week.

「Cloud-Native Geospatial Forum (CNG)」の半日イベントが、横浜にあるJAMSTEC（海洋研究開発機構）の横浜研究所（YES）で開催されます。本イベントは、地域のCNGコミュニティが一堂に会し、デモや講演、そして交流を通じて有意義な午後を過ごすことを目的としています。日本国内および近隣地域で活動する実務家が、自ら開発した成果を披露し、互いに直接交流を深め、より広範なCNGネットワークとつながる場となることを目指しています。
イベントは午後1時に始まり、夕方まで行われます。最後には、JAMSTECの横浜地球科学研究所（YES）にてレセプションが開催されます。
「CNG Japan」は、2026年に開催されるCNGグローバルイベントシリーズの第2弾となります。同シリーズは、ロンドン（6月23日）、横浜（8月24日）、ニューヨーク（9月24日）、スノーバード／米国ユタ州での「CNG Forum 2026」（10月6日～9日）、そしてチューリッヒ（10月29日）の順で開催されます。また、JAXA筑波で開催される「STAC Japan」ワークショップ（8月25日～27日）の前日にあたるよう日程が調整されています。これにより、海外から参加する実務家は、一回の渡航で両方のイベントに参加し、さらに翌週広島で開催される「FOSS4G 2026」へと旅程を続けることが可能になります。=
