​Joining Climate Hack-tion solo? Got a partial team that needs a few more brains? Already have a crew but still keen to meet interesting people?

​MLAI Australia is hosting a virtual Team Formation Mixer on behalf of Climate Hack-tion to help participants meet potential teammates, understand what different people bring to a hackathon team, and get some collaboration reps in before the real thing starts.

This is for participants who want to meet potential teammates, figure out who they click with, and get a feel for who they might actually enjoy building with.

​Not an awkward two-hour networking call. We’ll keep it structured, fast and a little chaotic.

​What to expect?

​Expect a mix of games, climate chaos, small-group collaboration and mildly questionable ideas.

​You do not need to be technical, have an idea, or already know how hackathons work.

​We’ll mix people into smaller groups throughout the session so you actually get a chance to talk, collaborate and meet more than the same three people for two hours.

​Your climate, tech and startup knowledge may be tested.

​There may be terrible startup ideas to real climate problems.

​There may be ideas that start as jokes and become worryingly viable.

​Who should come?

​Come along if you’re:

• ​joining Climate Hack-tion solo and looking for potential teammates

• ​already in a team and looking for more members

• ​in a team but open to adding complementary skills

• ​fully teamed up and still keen to meet the wider community

​The aim is not to force everyone into a team on the spot. It’s to make it much easier to meet people with complimentary skills you’d want to spend a hackathon building with.

About Climate Hack-tion

​Climate Hack-tion is an online climate hackathon bringing together university and TAFE students from Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and the European Union.

​Teams of 3–5 will tackle real climate challenges across areas including clean energy, waste, resilient cities, green industry and climate awareness.
