Open Studio | Morris + Company

​Morris+Company’s work is rooted in balancing the need of local communities with the global impact development. This Open Studio gives emerging designers a chance to learn how the practice balances narrative-led design with technical clarity across housing, workplace and cultural projects.

​Participants can share their work for constructive feedback and gain insights into how to refine presentation and design storytelling. The event also includes opportunities to meet the team and network.

​How It Works

​An Open Studio typically involves an introductory presentation by our host practice and meeting the team members and mentors who will be providing feedback to you on your applications.

​Participants will be split into small groups to ask specific questions about their CVs and portfolios as well as engage with their peers.

​We require attendees to bring physical portfolios for richer discussions. Each person will receive feedback for up to 15 minutes.

​Open Studio is :scale’s flagship programme, facilitating spaces for emerging creatives to connect, learn, and grow within the industry.

​Led by creative director Sana Tabassum, the studio offers collaborative workshops and mentoring that open up conversations around career development and creative practice.

​By linking early-career talent with leading practices across London, Open Studio helps bridge the gap between education and the professional world.
