spending as strategy for a better world (dinner included)
Make friends who care about stuff at Soapbox Seattle, the city's most fun community space for climate action!
We're having a party for people who care about the planet. Same time, same place, every week. You're invited. Request a reparative ticket here if you need one.
How can everyday spending — and not spending — become a tool for collective action?
This ACT Night is all about practical applications of consumer power, including boycotts, buycotts, and other ways individuals can participate in economic pressure and community-driven change. We’ll learn, discuss, and experiment together.
The plan:
6~7pm: eat plant-based dinner and yap
7-8:30pm: action stations!
8:30-9pm: continued mingling
Please try to arrive by 6:30pm so that you'll have time to grab dinner before the programming starts.
This space is hosted by Soapbox Project, a nonprofit that creates joyful community structures to heal our climate anxiety and loneliness through expertly facilitated connection, learning, and action activities. Find your place in the climate movement with our online and in-person community!
