Intro to Projection Mapping
Projection mapping transforms ordinary walls, objects and architectural spaces into dynamic visual environments. This high-level introductory workshop explores the creative and technical foundations of projecting images onto physical surfaces, including how projectors, space, light, content and mapping work together. Through examples, discussion and guided experimentation, participants will develop a practical vocabulary for understanding projection mapping and begin to see how it can support storytelling, performance, installation and live events.
The workshop is software-independent and welcoming to beginners; no prior knowledge is required, and bringing a laptop is optional.
This is a free workshop; first 30 participants will receive a special incentive from the workshop sponsor TroikaTronix
About your instructor: Ryan Webber is a Toronto-based creative technologist and Dora Award–winning projection designer with over a decade on the core team behind Isadora.
