About Event

Are you curious about how scientific discoveries can become the foundation for new biotechnology companies? Do you want to learn more about the resources, mentorship, and entrepreneurial opportunities available to emerging biotech founders in Rhode Island?

Join Nucleate Rhode Island for a panel discussion featuring Rhode Island teams that participated in the Nucleate Activator program. The event will bring together students, researchers, faculty, founders, and members of the broader Rhode Island biotech community to explore how Nucleate supports the transition from academic research to entrepreneurship.

This event will feature a panel discussion moderated by Devin Bemis, co-MD of the Nucleate Rhode Island chapter, with panelists representing Rhode Island teams that participated in the Boston Activator program during the 2025–2026 cycle. Panelists will introduce their companies and share their experiences in the Activator program, highlighting the skills, experiences, mentorship, and networks they gained through their participation.

Arvin Soepriatna, PhD, co-founded TEEM Therapeutics, a 2026 Nucleate Activator Team

Chathuraka “Chat” Jayasuriya, PhD, co-founder of EnkaBio, a 2026 Nucleate Activator Team

David Zhou, PhD, co-founder of PyraSim Neuroscience, a 2025 Nucleate Boston Activator Team

The event will conclude with a Q&A session, followed by information on how future teams can apply to participate in the Activator program.
