Are you the CEO, COO or CFO of a technology company? Are you curious about different ways to fund your business? This half-day event will walk you through every step of a company's funding journey from bootstrapping to IPO.

Featured Speakers

Alex Norman is the Partner of N49P, Co-Founder of TechTO, and AngelList Canadian Partner. Previously Alex established and led AngelList Ventures in Canada, co-founded HomeSav which was acquired by Rebellion Media and helped launch Simply Business which was acquired by The Travelers Cos. Alex also has significant professional services experience having worked for McKinsey & Company and Lehman Brothers in their technology mergers and acquisition group.

Etienne Gauthier is an Investment Associate in the Venture team at Inovia, based in the Montreal office. In his role, Etienne participates in investment sourcing activities, due diligence efforts, and post-investment support to portfolio companies. Before joining Inovia in 2022, Etienne was a Growth Equity Investment Analyst at CDPQ, the second-largest pension fund in Canada, where he focused on investment opportunities from Series C to pre-IPO, mainly in the sector of B2B SaaS. Prior to CDPQ, he worked in Strategy Consulting at Roland Berger, supporting large-scale organizations and Private Equity investors in their strategic planning and commercial due diligence efforts. Etienne holds a Bachelor of Business Administration & Finance from HEC Montreal, and graduated with Honors.

Fiona McCarten is an Associate Director, Capital Solutions at TD Innovation Partners, providing founders with bespoke, flexible financing solutions from seed to exit. Prior to TDIP, Fiona was with Espresso Capital, where she helped scale the firm’s growth debt platform and supported high-growth enterprise SaaS companies across North America. She obtained her CPA with PwC, where she held roles in capital markets advisory and IPO readiness. Fiona is also on the Core Committee of Canadian Women in VC, a non-profit community dedicated to the retention and promotion of women in venture capital.

Carlos Coelho is Heads of Sales at Boast, he brings over 20 years of experience in sales, business development, and marketing across both startups and global tech companies. As a passionate tech leader and mentor, he thrives on helping innovative teams grow and succeed. At Boast, Carlos leads the Sales team and has driven 4x ARR growth in just three years. Boast has delivered over $600M in tax credits using a unique blend of AI and R&D tax expertise to support companies across Canada and the U.S.

Joshua Martin is the Director of Business Development at Boast, where he leads new market launches and strategic growth initiatives. He’s passionate about helping tech companies leverage government R&D tax incentives while bolstering scalable business models. Outside of deal-making, Joshua is a connector, engaging partners, mentoring startups, and sharing hard-earned lessons in growth and strategy.

Emilie Chouha is the CEO at Helium Deploy, he is a Montreal-based entrepreneur and strategist with deep experience in building products, scaling ventures, and engaging communities. He blends startup mindset with operational discipline, helping teams translate vision into execution. As a speaker, he delivers practical insights drawn from real-world success and failure.

Emmanuelle Coppinger is the Managing Partner at Front Row Ventures (FRV), Canada’s leading university-focused VC firm active on 20+ campuses. Following the close of its oversubscribed $5.5M pan-Canadian fund, FRV has become the country’s largest capital pool dedicated to student-led startups.

A passionate advocate for innovation and inclusion, she founded and leads the Canadian chapter of Women in AI and helped launch Next AI Montréal as Director of Ventures, overseeing recruitment, portfolio, and investor relations.

Previously, Emmanuelle founded a travel accessories brand and a non-profit promoting platelet donation, after starting her career in audit and investment banking across France and Australia. She holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School (Paris) and is deeply committed to building the next generation of Canadian tech talent.

Geneviève Tanguay is Partner at Panache Venture. She was previously the CEO of Anges Québec (2021-2025), the largest private network of Canadian investors with which the venture capital investment fund AQC Capital invests. She has over 25 years of experience in investment and has participated in numerous private equity transactions in industrial sectors and venture capital in several innovative sectors at the Fonds de Solidarité, the largest Quebec-based venture capital investment network. Geneviève was also responsible for corporate development at Biron Groupe Santé.

Normand Chartrand is Premier Directeur, Capital de risque at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), where he leads technology‐driven venture capital investments across sectors. With a solid foundation in finance and innovation, he identifies, supports, and scales disruptive startups. Holding a degree from HEC Montréal, Normand bridges academic rigor and market insight to drive value creation. He is a passionate advocate for entrepreneurial ecosystems in Québec and beyond, regularly speaking on themes such as AI, healthcare tech, and sustainable growth. His deep network, strategic vision, and hands-on investment approach make him a respected leader in the Canadian VC space.
