About Event

What if the next generation didn’t wait their turn—but led now?

At just 19, Taona Makunganya has brought together a powerful lineup of leaders, creators, and changemakers to answer one simple question: What happens when young people take control of the narrative?

In a world flooded with noise, the stories we choose to tell—and who gets to tell them—matter more than ever. From music to media, community organizing to global advocacy, storytelling has always been the engine behind social change. This is your invitation to experience that power firsthand.

Join us for an immersive, collaborative storytelling experience—conceived and led by youth, and open to anyone ready to create, connect, and ignite change.

What You’ll Experience

Real Talk, Real People

Interactive “Story Circles”
Join a small group to co-create a story around a real issue. Connect through creativity, collaboration, and bold imagination.

Live “Story Jam”
We’ll turn ideas into impact as you and your group shape and share your stories—through words, visuals, or performance.

Inspiration You Can Take With You
Leave with a fresh lens, new allies, and clear takeaways for how to use storytelling in your own activism or work.

Why This Matters

This is more than a session. It’s a chance to step into a collective creative space where youth lead, and everyone participates. A space where stories build bridges, challenge power, and remind us what we’re capable of—together.

Whether you're a creator, a funder, an organizer, or someone just figuring out where your story fits—you belong in this room.

No prep needed. Just bring your voice, your ideas, and your curiosity. Space is limited—don’t miss it.
