About Event

How can we bring citizens’ voices into local decision-making?

This interactive session mirrors the structure of a real community assembly — moving from learning → deliberation → action — to show how community assemblies empower people to lead change from the ground up.

Speakers:

  1. Lucas Veloso – Community Manager, Iswe

  2. Silvia Cervellini – Co-founder & Director, Delibera Brasil

  3. Cauê Bueno – Community Organizer, EKOA/UFPR

  4. Harrison AjebeNnoko, Executive Director, AJESH

Through stories, visuals, and hands-on collaboration, participants will:

  • Discover what community assemblies are and how they connect local action to global impact.

  • Hear real stories from ongoing pilot assemblies facilitated by Lucas and others.

  • Design their own community assemblies in small groups using guided prompts.

By the end, everyone will leave with one concrete step to bring assemblies to life in their own communities.
