About the Artists:

Clarinetist Maryse Legault, praised by the Wall Street Journal for her "transcendent playing," specializes in historical performance on period instruments, moving fluently across centuries of repertoire. One of the only Canadians specializing in historical clarinets, and the first Quebecer to graduate in the field, Legault earned her master's degree in historical clarinet performance from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag in 2017, studying with Eric Hoeprich. She's known for fearless programming choices and interpretations that balance technical precision with expressive risk-taking.

Violinist Aisslinn Nosky captivates audiences around the world with her innovative interpretations and impeccable technique. Her fierce passion for early music and skill as a soloist, director, and conductor has generated robust appreciation by press and audiences alike. Hailed as “superb” by The New York Times and “a fearsomely powerful musician” by The Toronto Star, widespread demand for Aisslinn continues to grow.

Renée Hemsing is a multi-instrumentalist and educator whose particular interests in early music and chamber music have led her to perform in diverse capacities across the U.S. and abroad. She is a founder and the Executive Director of L’Armonia Boston, where she specializes in performing early secular music from the 17th to 19th centuries on period instruments with internationally renowned guests in the Gore Place mansion in Waltham, MA.

Violist Jason Fisher is a founding member and co-artistic director of A Far Cry. A child of the Northwest, Jason grew up in Seattle and is a proud enthusiast of rainy days. He first picked up an instrument at age 11 in elementary school when the orchestra teacher told him they needed “somebody to play the viola.” Jason went on to study with Helen Callus, Victoria Chiang, Katherine Murdock, and Roger Tapping, and is a graduate of Peabody Conservatory, and the Longy School of Music.

Guy Fishman is active as a concerto soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. He is principal cellist of the Handel and Haydn Society, with which he made his Symphony Hall solo debut in 2005. He is in demand as an early music specialist in the United States and Europe, having performed as principal cellist and with Tafelmusik, Seraphic Fire, Consone String Quartet, Arcadia Players, Connecticut Early Music Festival, Querelle des Bouffons, Emmanuel Music, the Boston Museum Trio, Boulder Bach Festival, El Mundo, and with Boston Baroque and Apollo’s Fire, among others.
