Between Old and New (English friendly)
This walk is all about contrasts. We’ll be moving between what used to be the Old and New Towns of Prague.
We’re starting strong at Václav Havel Square to compare the historic and modern buildings of the National Theatre. From there, we’ll wind through the backstreets of the New Town to reach the Diamond Palace.
We’ll cross spots where a Jewish cemetery once stood, check out some 20th-century architecture, and then head back to the "Moat Corridor" (Hradební korzo) for even more modern design. At Můstek, you’ll find out why it’s actually called "The Little Bridge," before we dive into the Old Town to see the Cubist gem, the House of the Black Madonna.
We’ll wrap things up at Republic Square. This is where architects Balšánek and Polívka went a bit overboard, leaving behind an "outdated and pompous" building. Yes the one that everyone now loves to photograph.

I look forward to seeing you.
