Climate Cafe Lund (1st meeting)

​During our first meeting we will do a gentle check in over a warm tea and a slice or two, of a pumpkin bread, I will give you the books, and then we will do a writing practice offered by the author of the book and Molly Brown (they have co-authored a book called 'Coming back to life') which can help us feel some active hope!

​For this practice, please bring a notebook and a pen, as it is NOT encouraged to do this exercise by typing.

​We will then decide whether we will be meeting every week or every other week and on which specific day (FYI, Monday and Sunday are the days with most votes), or if we will alternate between these two and will leave it more flexible. It's up to us.

​NO need for any pillows to be brought, this is arranged!

​On the website of the book you can also find a self-paced online training that has been created based on the content of the book, which I've done 2 years ago and it helped me at the time.

​Nevertheless, we can't compare the power of reading such a book in community, and practicing what it offers together, with doing that (too) online and isolated. Besides, it was offered us such, due to the pandemic back then.

​Until our meeting, I recommend you to listen to a couple of episodes of Joanna Macy's podcast, which was created a year before she died. Each episode is very powerful. Here you can find the episodes:

​Fee: A minimum of 30 to 50 SEK per person will be appreciated, also as a way to engage for your participation! You can pay in cash, via SWISH or via Revolut.

​The room where we will do the meeting is on the 1st floor of Vänskapens hus. Ι will put some signs so you can find but you can call me upon arrival and I will come down to meet you and show you the way to it.
