What is Infertility Awareness Week?
Infertility Awareness Week is an annual observance held every April dedicated to breaking the silence around infertility — one of the most common and least talked-about health challenges women and families face. It was founded by RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, and has grown into a global movement to educate, advocate, and connect.
1 in 8 couples in the US struggles to conceive. 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in loss. And yet most women go years without a real conversation about their reproductive health — not from their doctor, not in school, not anywhere.
Infertility Awareness Week exists to change that. To say: this is not rare, this is not your fault, and you deserve answers.
This Q&A is our contribution to that mission.
Ask about anything, and come as you are — whether you're actively trying, thinking ahead, freshly diagnosed, in the middle of treatment, or supporting someone you love. Every question is valid. Every woman deserves to understand her own body.
