Introduction to the EU AI Act – High-level overview of the EU AI Act and how it applies to AI systems used in robotics, including which types of robotic AI applications may fall into regulated categories.
Risk Classification for AI in Robotics – Guidance on how to determine whether an AI system embedded in a robot could be considered a high-risk system under the EU AI Act and what obligations follow from that classification.
Data Protection in AI Development – Key considerations under the applicable data protection regulation when collecting, processing, or training AI models with data, including sensor data, images, and human interaction data.

Contractual Clauses – Ideas on what to include in collaboration agreements, terms of use, product agreements and service agreements based from an AI regulation and data protection perspective.

Dr. Rehana Harasgama is a leading expert in data, technology and information law. She advises clients on complex data protection and cybersecurity questions including the design of data governance and compliance frameworks, major cross-border disclosures, privacy-by-design in emerging technologies and new business models as well as all questions related to platform and AI regulation. Recognised as a Legal 500 Rising Star / Leading Lawyer and by Leaders League for data privacy (2023-2025), she combines legal precision with practical insight. She is a co-founder of the Swiss Association for AI Law (www.ki-recht.ch) and serves on the advisory board of the Swiss IT Women Lawyers Association. During her Ph.D. at HSG, she was a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society.
