Join us for a hands-on AI Coding Hackathon with the TRAE community in Bali.
TRAE Friends is a volunteer community made up of developers, creators, and builders who believe that AI coding is reshaping how software is built.
For this special edition, we’re hosting a mini hackathon where participants will collaborate, experiment with AI-assisted coding, and build something exciting in just a few hours.
Whether you're a developer, designer, founder, digital nomad, or simply curious about AI-powered development, you’re welcome to join.

What is TRAE?
TRAE is an AI coding platform (IDE) developed by ByteDance (the company behind TikTok) designed to help developers build software faster using AI-assisted workflows.
Hackathon Format
Participants will have 3 hours to build a project using TRAE.
You can work solo or form a team during the event (maximum 3 people per team).
At the end of the hackathon, standout projects will be invited to give a short demo, followed by the winner announcement.
The hackathon is open theme, so you are free to build anything, from AI tools and productivity apps to experimental projects or fun ideas.
Creativity is encouraged.
Hackathon Rules
To keep the challenge fair and fun for everyone:
• Projects should be started during the event
• Pre-built projects are not allowed
• TRAE should be used in the development process
• Teams can be formed during the hackathon (max 3 people)
• A few selected projects will present short demos at the end
The goal is not perfection, it’s experimentation, creativity, and learning together.
