SUSTAINABLE BY DESIGN: HOW CAN WE BUILD AI FOR A CLIMATE-FORWARD FUTURE
AI is moving fast. Climate challenges aren’t waiting. So what happens when we bring the two conversations together?
We’re excited to bring AI Mastermind and The Optimist Circuit together for a special community event during San Diego Climate Week, exploring one of the most important questions at the intersection of technology and sustainability:
How can we shape the way AI is built, deployed, and used to create a more sustainable future?
AI is changing how we work, build, and solve problems. But as the technology scales, so does its impact on our energy, resources, businesses, and communities. This evening is about creating a space to step back, learn, and explore what responsible, climate-conscious AI can actually look like.
The Agenda for the evening will include:
6:00 pm: Doors open and networking
6:30 pm: Mariel Vargas: Welcome and Introductions
6:40 pm: Ellen Spooner: the landscape of AI and sustainability
6:50 pm: Di Le: AI ethics and our agency
7:00 pm: Panel discussion (Bring your questions)
7:30 pm: Facilitated group discussions
8:00 pm: Networking
Most importantly, we’re creating the room to learn from each other and explore solutions together.
Whether you build AI, invest in it, work in sustainability, or simply want to better understand where technology is heading, you belong in the conversation.
Come curious. Bring your questions. Leave with new ideas, new connections, and a bigger perspective on what we can build together.
