Making Research Suck Less
with Darren Ng, Lead Researcher at Open Government Products
Even with the right evidence, convincing people with research can really suck. And in this strange new world of democratised research, what is “right evidence” anyway?
In this session, Darren talks about why it can be hard to know whether a piece of research sucks, how to make it more known, and how that helps convince others (and ourselves!) on the value of our research.
Darren Ng is the Lead Researcher at OGP, where he experiments with how UX research should evolve to support a modern product organization. He brings almost 15 years of experience in both design and non-design research, most recently as Head of Studio at Foolproof Singapore.
Inspiring Possibilities Through Human-Centred Design and Prototyping
with Rodney Loh, Founder at NextOfKin Creatives
The topic Rodney will be sharing is around active aging and how him and his team tap into memories through culture started Singapore's first senior lion dance troupe - "Silver Pride Lion Troupe" that is ready for both ambulant and wheelchair bound seniors.
Rodney Loh is the Founder of NextOfKin Creatives, an innovation design studio with inter-disciplinary competencies around design research, interactive and experience design, and industrial design. He believes that designers are agents of change and design is an attitude that empowers positive outcomes for the future.
