​Join this information session about the Global Pitch Showdown – International Entry to learn how startups based outside Japan can apply for the 2026 program and connect into Japan’s health innovation ecosystem.

​Global Pitch Showdown is an international pitch competition for ambitious MedTech, HealthTech and BioTech startups. The program is designed to help founders explore market opportunities, build strategic connections and gain visibility on a global stage.

​International Entry pathway

​For startups based outside Japan, this pathway provides access to the Global Pitch Showdown through the international stream.

​Selected startups will have the opportunity to:

• ​Pitch in an online semi-final

• ​Compete for one of four international finalist places

• ​Funded travel to Osaka for the Global Pitch Showdown

• ​Pitch live at the MedTech Actuator Showcase

• ​Compete for the chance to win ¥5 million, presented by OCCI

• ​Take part in a tailored Kansai immersion

• ​Connect with investors, corporates, partners and ecosystem leaders across Japan’s health innovation ecosystem
