We welcome Sara Çela is a digital transformation expert working at the intersection of AI governance and business strategy. She leads the AI Tirana Hub as part of the ITU’s AI for Good, Young AI Leaders initiative contributing to the development of responsible AI ecosystems. Her consultancy bridges technical innovation with policy and market development while her research focuses on interoperability in digital infrastructures and digital regulatory frameworks.

Engineering Impact: Where AI Meets Sustainable Development The AI Tirana Hub, established under the ITU’s AI for Good, Young AI Leaders initiative, seeks to connect Albania’s data science community with global efforts to develop responsible and impactful AI aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In collaboration with the DAIT Community, this session will explore how data science can evolve from model development into shaping real-world systems across sectors such as governance, energy and public services. It will emphasize the importance of locally grounded data, context-aware AI solutions and the role of data scientists as contributors to decision-making infrastructures. The session also introduces opportunities for engagement through AI Tirana Hub, enabling Albanian professionals to participate in international networks, collaborative projects and initiatives that bridge technical expertise with policy and societal impact.
