​RADII and OMNI presents: The Poetry of AI in Filmmaking 🎬

​As part of our "AI Frontier" theme for April, we're excited to announce that we'll be screening six pioneering short films — all created with AI — that will make you question whether it now has emotional intelligence.

​To bring this all together, we've partnered with leaders in filmmaking and artificial intelligence from both Shanghai and Hong Kong.

​In curating the final selection of short films, we've enlisted the team behind OMNI — the first generative AI film festival in the Southern Hemisphere — as well as OMNI jury member and Sundance-recognized filmmaker Ai Wan. Together, they present a series of diverse, narratively rich, and truly mind-blowing films that rewrite the script on what independent filmmaking can be.

​As for where the big screen is, we reached out to PREFACE, a leader in AI technology training and content, who just so happens to have the perfect amphitheater in their HQ. It was serendipitous, to say the least.

​In addition to the hour-long screening, we'll be hosting a panel with some of the featured filmmakers, as well as our partners, to discuss how AI can serve as a creative tool to deepen and expand the poetry of emotion in visual storytelling.

​And to top it off, we'll have a special selection of natural wines from China, thanks to the young team at Purple Rain — an independent merchant focusing on small-production, low-intervention wines — alongside small bites courtesy of PREFACE.

​Whether you're a fan of AI or not, these films are well worth watching. They're as riveting in their storytelling as they are groundbreaking in how they're made. This is truly the frontier of AI in entertainment, and we can't wait to show you.
