​저희는 얼마 전 파리에서 세계적인 패션 하우스와 이 과정을 비공개로 진행했습니다. 가우디가 만든 것을 그대로 가져오지 않으면서, 어떻게 컬렉션이 가우디에서 출발할 수 있는지를 함께 작업했습니다. 이번 워크숍은 같은 방법론을 누구에게나 열어놓은 자리이며, 디자인이나 창작 경험은 전혀 필요하지 않습니다.

​저희 창립자이자 신사하우스 전시의 큐레이터인 소피 아브람추크가 Origin8을 처음부터 끝까지 안내합니다. 바르셀로나 가우디 재단에서 8년에 걸쳐 정리한 방법론입니다. 저희는 무드보드나 지금 유행하는 것에서 시작하지 않습니다. 어떤 산업보다도 훨씬 오래 이 문제들을 풀어온 세 명의 스승에서 시작합니다. 자연, 인류, 그리고 시간입니다.

​여러분은 옷 한 벌을 작업하게 됩니다. 자연이 어떻게 구조와 보호를 만들어내는지, 사람들이 무엇을 입어왔고 그것이 왜 그들에게 중요했는지, 그리고 100년의 패션에서 무엇이 살아남고 무엇이 사라졌는지를 함께 살펴봅니다. 그다음 직접 손으로 그리고, AI의 도움을 받아 그 디자인을 실제로 구현해 그 자리에서 인쇄해 드립니다. 손에 들고 돌아가시게 됩니다.

​Gaudí's Workshop: Beyond the Origins 소개

​전시를 찾은 분들은 가우디가 무엇을 만들었는지 봅니다. 이곳에서는 그가 만들던 방식대로 창작하는 법을 배웁니다.

​이 프로그램은 Origin8 방법론을 바탕으로 합니다. 바르셀로나 가우디 재단에서 8년에 걸쳐 개발된 이 방법론은 "독창성은 근원으로 돌아가는 데 있다"는 가우디 자신의 원칙 위에 세워졌으며, 다섯 개 대륙의 기업과 대학, 재단에서 진행되어 왔습니다.

​8월 한 달 동안 갤러리는 하나의 작업실이 됩니다. 이번과 같은 무료 소개 세션, 가우디를 네 번의 귀환으로 읽어내는 렉처 시리즈, 테이블에 둘러앉아 직접 해보는 마스터클래스, 하나의 오브제를 손으로 디자인하고 인쇄해 가져가는 워크숍, 어린이 세션, 큐레이터가 직접 안내하는 폐관 후 전시 투어, 그리고 휴대폰 없이 보내는 마지막 살롱이 열립니다. 각 세션은 그 자체로 완결되며, 동시에 다음 세션으로 가는 문이 됩니다.

​누구를 위한 프로그램일까요? 디자이너, 창업가, 마케터, 학생, 부모님까지. 무언가를 만들고, 그것이 남의 것을 따라가는 대신 자기만의 것이 되기를 바라는 모든 분을 위한 자리입니다. 디자인 경험은 필요하지 않습니다.

​Sofy 소개

​소피 아브람추크(Sofy Abramchuk)는 〈Gaudí: Back to the Origins〉의 큐레이터이자 Originate Institute의 창립자입니다. 바르셀로나 가우디 재단에서 8년간 디자인 총괄로 일하며 Origin8 방법론을 개발했습니다. 이는 "독창성은 근원으로 돌아가는 데 있다"는 가우디 자신의 원칙에 뿌리를 둔 창작 방식입니다. 다섯 개 대륙의 기업과 대학에서 이 방법론을 가르쳐 왔으며, 사가르다 파밀리아 탑 완공 당시 BBC News에 출연했습니다.

​Why a lamp

​Gaudí designed with light before electricity was normal. He shaped windows, chimneys and ceilings around how light actually moves, and every one of his buildings is a study in it. Most lamps sold today are shapes with a bulb inside. For three and a half hours you will put on an architect's hat and design one properly, starting from what light is for.

​​About us

​Sofya Abramchuk spent 8 years at the Gaudí Foundation in Barcelona as head of design, working directly with the archives: Gaudí's notebooks, letters and experimental models. She is the curator of Gaudí: Back to the Origins, the exhibition now at Sinsa House, and the founder of Originate Institute, the Foundation's educational partner.

​From that research she developed the Origin8 method, built on Gaudí's own principle that originality consists in returning to the origin. She has taught it at Keio University in Tokyo, at Chung-Ang University here in Seoul, and inside the studios of European fashion houses in Paris, and she has spoken at design conferences across Europe and Asia. She appeared on BBC News on the completion of the Sagrada Família tower and has been interviewed on Japanese and Austrian television during the Gaudí centenary.

​About Gaudí Beyond the Origins

​Visitors to the exhibition see what Gaudí made. Here you learn to create the way he did. The program runs on the Origin8 method, developed over 8 years at the Gaudí Foundation in Barcelona, built on Gaudí's own principle: originality consists in returning to the origin. It has been delivered across five continents with companies, universities and foundations.

​Through August the gallery becomes a working studio. There will be free introductions like this one, a lecture series reading Gaudí in four returns, hands-on masterclasses at the tables, full workshops where you design one object by hand and take it home printed, sessions for children, after-hours tours of the exhibition guided by its curator, and one closing salon without phones. Every session is complete on its own and opens the door to the next.

​Who is it for? Designers, founders, marketers, students, parents, anyone who makes things and wants them to be original rather than derivative. No design experience needed. All dates and registration on this calendar.
