This is not a sit-back-and-listen kind of gathering—it’s a hands-on, community-powered convening designed to move climate equity from awareness to action.

​We’re bringing together community members, Indigenous leaders, NGOs, academics, governments, and businesses to tackle the big question: who benefits, who bears the burden, and what are we actually going to do about it?

​Expect practical conversations, solution labs, and real commitments across food security, energy, natural and circular systems. Attendees will leave with new connections, clearer pathways to action, and a shared sense that climate equity in Peel isn’t just possible—it’s already underway.

​About the Host: The Region of Peel Office of Climate Change and Energy Management (OCCEM) is organizing this event in collaboration with Peel Waste Management, the Centre for Community Energy Transformation (CCET), and Second Harvest.
