We will explore how grid operators are rethinking electrification strategy alongside the hardware innovations reshaping power inside and around the data centers. We will unpack how solid-state, software-defined power electronics inside the data center can bring intelligence to power distribution—the same shift from electromechanical to intelligent hardware that has already transformed computing and nearly every other industry it touched. Solid-state hardware also wastes less energy converting and switching power than the equipment it replaces, so every gain in flexibility comes with a gain in efficiency too. We'll also dig into how superconducting transmission technology can carry far more power through existing rights-of-way and interconnection points, unlocking new grid capacity without the years-long buildout of new transmission lines.
