International Women's Day: Quercus Lookout Trail
Slow Girls Hiking is back for our first hike of the 2026 season.
We’re kicking things off by celebrating International Women’s Day with a scenic hike to Quercus Lookout in Murrin Provincial Park.
A special thank you to our friends at Merrell, who are celebrating with us by providing giveaways for the hike, including a brand new pair of shoes!
This is a shorter, feel-good hike to ease back into the season. Expect good vibes, great views, and zero rushing.
Bring your favourite snack and drink so we can hang out at the lookout and enjoy a picnic together.
After the hike, we’re heading to the Brackendale Art Gallery to catch Queens of Comedy and keep the celebration going. This is completely optional, but we’d love to have you join.

What to bring: It is essential to bring water and bear spray. We always recommend bringing the ten essentials, and you may consider bringing hiking poles if you have them. It’s always better to be over-prepared than under!
What to wear: Wear comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement, along with proper hiking shoes and sunscreen for protection.
We love your pups, but this hike is for humans only! Please leave the dogs at home. :)
