Under the Moon: "Ecoustics" & Earthships
We’re excited to welcome you on Friday, Dec 5th for our December Under the Moon — a gathering of climate art, science & action every full moon, open to anyone 🌕
This moon, we are hosting artist Dylan Gauthier and educator Paola Garcia, whose talks will explore alternative ways of engaging or living with the Earth through multimedia art, Earthships, green infrastructure, and more.
Dylan will share how “Earth Listening” functions as an artistic method for attuning to environmental and social ecologies through sound, place, text, and embodied presence. Drawing on projects that center acoustic ecology, "ecoustics," and deep listening to human and more-than-human worlds, in sites that include former landfills, superfund sites, urban waterways, and toxic brownfields, he explores how listening with and through landscapes can open new ways of understanding our connections to and responsibility for a changing planet.
Paola will talk about advocating for Earth and human stewardship and how her work explores the intersection of climate, culture, and disaster preparedness. She will discuss how she weaves education, nature-based solutions, green infrastructure, and Earthships to render resilient built-environments and people.
Join us on Dec 5, 6-8pm at Chan Space New York to reimagine our shared home together 🌎

ABOUT HERE ON EARTH

We also partner with schools and educators to offer filmmaking fellowships and workshops for students of all ages. Our goal is to nurture youth as climate storytellers—using film as a powerful tool to drive imagination and action toward a more resilient future.
