About This Event

Build Club Sydney is back.

On February 24th, we're bringing together the OGs who were there in the early days - the builders who showed up when it was just an idea.

This isn't a pitch event. This isn't about who raised the most or who's winning.

This is about seeing time pass. About understanding what happens when you just start building.

What to expect:

→ Panel discussion with Mark Monfort (Aus DeFi Association/Foundry Labs), Quynh Nguyen (Mutinex), and Saanvi Yerawar (AWS/Build Club) on why community actually matters

→ builder journeys:

  • Daniel Lord-Doyle - Mary Technology

  • Jack Wakem - Tempest AI

  • Graham Herdman - System 3

→ What's next for Build Club Sydney

→ Open networking with ~100 people who actually ship - founders, engineers, investors, operators, and anyone else moving Sydney's tech ecosystem forward

This room is for high-agency people.

If you build, fund, enable, or otherwise make things happen - you belong here.

Not outcomes. Starting.

Many thanks to Relevance AI for the room and Vercel for the catering :)

FAQ

Who should come?
High-agency people who make things happen.

Founders building products. Engineers shipping code. Students launching projects between classes. Investors actively enabling companies. Operators who move fast. Anyone who sees a problem and solves it instead of just talking about it.

High agency isn't about credentials. It's about bias toward action.

If your default mode is "let me handle that" or "I'll figure it out" - you belong here.

What about students?
YES. Some of the highest-agency people are students. If you're building something, shipping projects, or making things happen while still in school - you absolutely belong here. Age and stage don't matter. Execution does.

What about [role X]?
If you're HIGH AGENCY in that role, yes.

VCs who roll up sleeves with portfolio companies? Yes.
Business people who ship products? Yes.
Students building and shipping? Yes.
Technical builders? Obviously yes.
Content creators who just want photos? No.
"Idea people" who don't execute? No.

I wasn't an OG, can I still come?
Yes. This event is about showing what's possible when you show up and execute. Whether you were there in 2023 or you're showing up now - you're writing the next chapter.

Is this just an AI event?
No. Build Club started AI-focused but it's for anyone building hard technical things - robotics, AR/VR, deep tech, game dev, infrastructure. If it requires deep technical work OR high-agency execution, it counts.
