Urban Techies Walk of Port Lands
Riding off the coattails of a landmark transit commitment announcement for Waterfront East Transit this week, we are excited to share our next event: a walk through Toronto’s Port Lands led by Urban Techies Members Paul Arkilander (CreateTO) and Graeme Kennedy (Waterfront Toronto).
We’ll stroll through Biidaasige Park and explore how investments in transit, energy infrastructure, flood-resilient design, and residential development ripe for smart buildings and design are fuelling industry and creating a more livable and sustainable part of our city’s waterfront.
Learn more about the development here:
Where are we meeting? The South East corner of Commissioners St and Cherry St. The address for wayfinding is: 51 Commissioners St, Toronto, ON M5A 1A6.
How do I get there?
Best way to get there is by bike (there is a BikeShare station at the entrance of the park), or bus (Queens Quay 114).
If driving, parking in the area is limited. There is a small, temporary lot at 11 Munition St. with 120 space.
How long is the walk? approximately 1 to 1.5 hrs
After the tour, feel free to join us at Cherry St BBQ (NE corner of same intersection of meeting point) to continue the fun.
This event is weather permitting; please monitor the event page for updates.
Any questions, reach out to Brittany.
