About Event

Please feel free to join us for our open-house. You are welcome to stop by between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM for a tour.

Visitors can expect a tour of our vertical farming facility in North York, offering an inside look at a “day in the life” of a hydroponics operator. Throughout the experience, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with our team.

The drop-in session introduces the life cycle of common horticultural crops, along with the key benefits and environmental impacts of urban farming practices. Guests can also look forward to an interactive seminar providing valuable industry insights, practical resources, and guidance on addressing real-world agricultural challenges.

In addition, attendees will receive a detailed tour of the facility and participate in hands-on activities, including seeding and exploring different stages of the plant life cycle.

About the Host: Founded by brothers Stefan and Lukas Sirianni, etobiGrow is a hyper-local indoor vertical farm dedicated to bridging the gap between farm and table by growing high-quality, nutritious produce year round right here in Toronto. Using the latest technology in Controlled environment Agriculture (CEA), etobiGrow hydroponically grows over four tons of fresh produce per year in a 600 square foot farm. By employing local youth and low-waste, high precision growing practices, etobiGrow strives to improve local food security while reducing environmental impacts and minimizing the usage of water and other raw materials. Through long-standing partnerships with food banks, educators, and fellow urban farmers across Toronto, etobiGrow is helping to shape our burgeoning local food industry by bringing these sustainable agriculture technologies closer to those who need it most. With this in mind, etobiGrow is critically aware of just how important a role farming methods such as hydroponics will play in our future food supply. By acting as a predictable, local farming alternative that strengthens our food sovereignty, urban farms like etobiGrow will play an essential role in building a resilient food network that can resist an increasingly unpredictable world and continually changing climate.
