Imagine building your own IoT devices and instantly getting dashboards, historical data with charts, a mobile app, backups and much more for free.

By combining Home Assistant - a popular self hosted, open-source, privacy focused platform for home automation - with Nerves and Elixir. We’ll explore the benefits of using Home Assistant, how to make your devices automatically discoverable and configurable and how to exchange data back and forth via MQTT. In the end, we’ll take a look at how Homex can take care of all that work and let you write new integrations in just a few lines of Elixir code.
