✨ Beginner Sewing Workshop for Adults ✨ Learn the basics of the machine and Sew a Scrunchie

This beginner-friendly sewing class is designed for adults who want to learn how to sew in a fun, supportive environment. Participants will be guided step-by-step through the basics of machine sewing while creating custom scrunchies to take home. Because this is a small class with only 6 spots available, each participant will receive plenty of individualized instruction, hands-on guidance, and support throughout the project.

We’ll cover foundational skills like threading a sewing machine, sewing simple seams, safe machine use, and working with fabric — perfect for true beginners with no prior sewing experience. Participants will learn how to make scrunchies in various sizes and will have the opportunity to add lace or other decorative touches to customize their creations. By the end of class, participants will leave with 2–3 handmade scrunchies.

All materials are provided and we have 5 sewing machines available for use! However, participants are also welcome to bring their own fabric if they have a favorite print they’d love to turn into a scrunchie. We encourage bringing your own sewing machine if you have one as well!

By the end of class, participants will leave with finished projects, new sewing skills, and the confidence to keep creating.
