CTA 5 Year Anniversary
Five years. Five cohorts. 320+ founders. Over $80M raised by alumni.
The Cancer Tech Accelerator was built with one purpose: to give the people most likely to change cancer outcomes the environment, connections, and support to actually do it.
This anniversary evening has been curated with our alumni founders front and centre. Every session has been chosen to be genuinely useful - whether you're raising your next round, navigating the loneliness of the CEO seat, or trying to access the expertise you need without giving away the company to get it. If you've been through CTA, this evening was designed for you.
We'll also be welcoming current CTA 5.0 founders, mentors, investors, and wider ecosystem guests - because the most valuable thing about this community has always been the room it puts you in.
Join us for an evening of honest panels, practical conversations, and good drinks at One Triton Square, on Wednesday 9th of September.
Agenda
3:00pm — Welcome & Five Years of CTA (20 mins) Looking back at five years of the UK's largest cancer-specific accelerator - the numbers, the companies, and the moments that defined the programme. A brief alumni spotlight across all five cohorts before we hand over to the afternoon's speakers.
3:20pm — Panel: Raising a Series A in Cancer Tech (40 mins) A chaired panel with Series A investors who back oncology companies - covering what they're really looking for, where most pitches fall short, and how the fundraising landscape has shifted. Questions from the floor, including the ones founders are usually too nervous to ask.
4:00pm — Break (15 mins)
4:15pm — Community Spotlight: LifeScienceORG (30 mins) An honest conversation about what peer support actually looks like at the CEO level - with the LifeScienceORG founder, community lead, and a CTA alumni member of their community. For founders navigating the loneliness of building, this one's for you.
4:45pm — Partner Spotlight: Execution Capital (30 mins) A founder shares how Execution Capital helped them access senior expertise without burning too much cash - followed by a short, practical introduction to how the model works.
5:15pm — Toast & Close (5 mins) A moment to raise a glass to five cohorts, recognise the alumni in the room, and look ahead.
5:20pm — Networking & Drinks (until 7:00pm)
