About Event

Full Description:

Climate change is not one story. It is millions of them. And on August 16, you will hear some of them. Come out to Governors Island and support a phenomenal group of immigrant women as they share powerful, deeply personal stories about climate change, identity, resilience, home, and building a life in New York City.

These are real voices, real lives, and real experiences — told out loud, from the heart.

This project is made possible thanks to the generous support of Con Edison. Their support sends a strong message: that immigrant women’s voices matter, and that they belong at the center of the fight for climate justice and a better future for all.

Join us for an afternoon of live storytelling.

What to expect:

  • Live personal stories by immigrant women from New York City

  • Personal stories exploring climate change through lived experience

  • An intimate, welcoming atmosphere inside a historic house on Governors Island

  • Time to connect with the storytellers and explore the space afterward

This event is free and open to all. No background in climate or storytelling required, just curiosity and an open heart.
