Talent development assumes you know what skills your people should grow toward. Performance management assumes you know what good looks like in the work itself. Both assumptions used to be reasonable. They're getting harder to hold as AI reshapes roles, priorities shift faster than competency frameworks can update, and the conversations managers are supposed to have with their teams keep changing under them.

Most HR partners and people managers are improvising — and largely doing it separately, in their own silos. The result is that the people closest to the problem aren't fully in the conversation with each other.

This session pulls them into the same room. A panel of HR leaders, people managers, and an outside practitioner will talk candidly about what's actually working in their orgs, what's quietly broken, and what the next year of talent development and performance management is going to require. Expect specifics, not platitudes — and expect both audiences to find themselves in the conversation, not just the one whose function the panelists happen to share
