Female Forms: A Sculptural Hand building Workshop

📍 Zoku Amsterdam | Amsterdam Oost
🗓 April 25, Saturday
🕛 12:30 – 3:00
Hosted in partnership with Paris Vivianne Panigiri

🧠 What This Workshop Is About

Join us for a slow, contemplative afternoon working with clay, inspired by the timeless beauty of Cycladic figurines—ancient sculptural forms created thousands of years ago in the heart of the Aegean.

Celebrating the strength, softness, and complexity of the female form, this hands-on workshop invites you to create a sculptural piece inspired by femininity in all its expressions. Using intuitive hand building techniques, you’ll be guided step by step, transforming clay into a personal, embodied artwork that honours creativity, presence, and the power of women.

The focus is on simplicity, rhythm, and proportion, rather than detail or perfection. You’ll be encouraged to work slowly, respond intuitively to the material, and develop a form that feels personal and grounded.

Participants may choose to honor a minimalist approach—allowing the female form to remain quiet, pure, and understated—or introduce a more contemporary expression through subtle textures, personal details, or painted elements. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a sculptural object that celebrates femininity across time: a timeless form shaped by your own hands and modern perspective.

No prior experience is needed. This workshop is designed to be grounding, expressive, and quietly powerful—an invitation to slow down and work with form, history, and intuition.

Through color, form, and texture, Panigiri’s work communicates beyond words, channeling emotion into tangible expression. Each piece becomes a quiet visual symphony, inviting resonance and connection between artwork and viewer. Her approach to making emphasizes intuition, emotional honesty, and the subtle magic that emerges when material and feeling move together.
