November Topic -- Building for Sustainable Compute in the Rise of AI-Native Products

AI is transforming how we build products — but efficiency and sustainability still depend on our decisions.

Being AI-Native means two things:

  • Using AI-assisted development tools to build faster and smarter, and

  • Embedding AI directly into the products we create to unlock new forms of customer and business value.

Both demand new ways of thinking about performance, efficiency, and sustainability — balancing innovation speed with responsible resource use.

We’ll tackle these dimensions sequentially — starting with AI-assisted “vibe coding” tools like Replit, Copilot, and Lovable, given how rapidly they’re becoming part of the modern product workflow.

Together, we’ll learn to identify and question compute-intensive design and architecture choices in AI-generated code and re-prompt for more efficient, lower-impact alternatives.

You’ll walk away with practical skills to build smarter, leaner, and more sustainable products — without slowing down innovation.
