Climate Action Book Club: Climate Capital
In Climate Capital, Tom Chi argues that our economic systems are fundamentally incompatible with the physical realities of Earth – and that we need to learn new frameworks and skills to be able to find a path towards regeneration.
At a time when we're all wrought with climate anxiety and fatalism, Tom offers a grounded framework – the 4C's of critical thinking, creativity, compassion, and community – for anyone ready to reclaim their agency and build toward a sustainable future.
Tom is an astrophysicist, designer, and executive who built products with global reach – including Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo Search, Google Glass, and Google's self-driving car program. For the past decade, he's turned his builders' expertise toward a net-positive future, founding At One Ventures in 2020 to invest in deep-tech companies making sustainable products radically cheaper than the incumbents they're replacing.
This book club is a follow up of the book talk we hosted on 8/13 with Tom; we'd love to see you for a discussion on the book and your takeaways for what comes next!
