AI Build Blitz
AI Build Blitz is an event designed for anyone to rapidly prototype, showcase their creations, connect with the community, and spark new collaborations.
Location: AWS Skills Center (right off the Crystal City metro. Free garage parking after 5pm). Must register to enter the room.
Join us for an engaging 2 hour friendly vibe coding build blitz! This will be a builder space to practice creating AI-powered websites/apps for all levels. Join us to connect, learn, and ask questions in a welcoming environment. All experience levels are welcome.
You will gain tactical experience in using AI code generation tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Firebase, Cursor, n8n. Pick an AI tool to use and bring an idea to work on. Others will be available to help you along your way.
Who is this for?
The AI-Curious: Absolutely no coding or technical experience is required! If you have an idea and can use a computer, you can build with us.
Creatives & Storytellers: Artists, writers, designers, and marketers eager to explore AI as a new tool for their craft.
Students & Professionals: Anyone from any field looking to see how AI can be used to solve problems, create content, or build something fun.
Experienced Builders: Developers and entrepreneurs looking for a fast-paced challenge and a place to connect with the community.
Literally Everyone: If you're excited about technology and want to spend an hour making something cool, this event is for you.
Agenda:
6:00 - 6:30pm: Arrival & Networking
6:30 - 7:30pm: The Build Sprint! The clock starts. You have one hour to build, hack, or prototype an AI project. Work solo or team up on the spot. It’s not about a finished product—it’s about rapid execution and bringing an idea to life
7:30 - 8:00pm: Pitch & Showcase! (~30 mins). Laptops down, mics up. Builders will give rapid-fire demos (~2 mins) of what they created in the last hour. It’s not about perfection—it’s about demonstrating progress, sharing the process, and getting instant feedback.
6:00 - 8:00pm: Find Your People! The rest is open networking. Get a closer look at the projects, find collaborators for your next build, and connect with fellow innovators. Great food, great drinks, and better convos. You’ll leave with at least one new collaborator, idea, insight or friendship—guaranteed.
About your Hosts:
Nadeen Siddiqui (Linkedin) is an event lead for the AI Collective, DC chapter. She is a product manager in DC, having built products for startups, enterprises, and freelance clients.
Zhe Liu (Linkedin) is a Product Manager at Amazon leading product strategy and development for fintech analytic platforms.
