MAY CRAFTY QUEERS CLUB-Good Luck Talismans- W/ Grover Hogan
18+ Event- Registration required!
TEACHING ARTIST GROVER HOGAN
For Crafty Queers Club, we will be making keychain talismans for good luck, protection, or any energy you want to manifest and carry with you. Using keychain making materials, beads, paint markers, and wooden shapes, participants will create and design their own personalized charm. Participants can bring their own trinkets and small jewelry pieces to add to their talismans as well.
Grover Hogan (they/them) is a multimedia artist, teacher, and oracle currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hogan's work focuses on their relationship to their identity and their performance of social roles, utilizing queer iconography, "cheap" materials, portraiture, and divination.
Crafty Queers is a pay-what-you-can event. We will accept cash and Venmo donations at the door, which allows us to equitably pay the artists and purchase supplies!
