TKK #35: Using Systems Thinking to Solve Complex Problems

​Some problems keep coming back no matter how hard we work to fix them. Missed deadlines, rework, burnout, and team conflict often look like individual failures, but they are usually symptoms of a deeper system.

​In this session, we will explore how systems thinking can help us understand complex organisational problems by looking at patterns, feedback loops, incentives, and hidden constraints. Through a story-led walkthrough, we will see how complexity can be abstracted into a clearer diagnosis and turned into practical action.

​Binayak Dahal has spent much of his career inside growing teams, messy workflows, production pressure, and all the small organisational problems that slowly turn into big ones.

​For more than a decade, he has worked across project management, operations, and production leadership in digital agency environments. His work has focused on scaling teams, reducing operational friction, and making delivery more predictable.

​He has become deeply interested in systems thinking: a way of understanding how people, processes, tools, habits, and incentives shape the results we keep getting.
