Around our hearth, Thirdspace Thirdweeks
December 19
Around our hearth
A Thirdspace Thirdweeks gathering
What stayed.
What was missing.
What comes next.
Before we turn the calendar, let’s pull our chairs a little closer.
For our final Thirdspace Thirdweeks gathering of 2026, no single speaker holds the room. The conversation belongs to the community, House members, collaborators, and friends who have helped these gatherings find their shape.
Presented by semi permanent × teenage engineering, with our friends at Soho House Tokyo, this is an evening to reflect on the year we have made together and help shape what comes next.
Not simply a retrospective.
A shared reflection.
An open table.
An invitation to help guide the year ahead.
Around the hearth
What stayed with you?
Where could we have listened more closely or acted with greater care?
Whose voices would you like to hear?
Which questions deserve more time around the table?
What would make this community more meaningful to you?
Bring a favorite moment, an honest observation, or an idea we have not yet considered.
We’ll listen, gather what we hear, and carry it into our planning for 2027.
One commitment already guides us: creating more room for queer voices and women in our community—not only to participate, but to share their work, frame the questions, and help lead the conversations ahead.
Come meet someone new.
Reconnect with a familiar face.
Tell us what you would like this community to become.
The next chapter begins with the people around the hearth.
We’ll leave a place for you.

Gathering alongside
Thirdspace Thirdweeks brings together friends and communities connected through yes, teenage engineering, KCRW, WPÜ, Kammui, Weber Workshops, Kimino, Massif, Mezzanine Makers, rome.studio, dublab.jp, Tokyo American Club, and Repertoire.
Each contributes a different perspective, practice, and community to the wider Tokyo Salone constellation.
This is an opportunity to meet across those worlds, not through formal introductions or programmed networking, but through conversation, curiosity, and time spent together.
