COVEN x 'WATER WARS' - Episode 1 Benefit Screening

​Join COVEN for a benefit screening of the first episode in the six-part documentary series by Todd Darling, Water Wars, about the theft of water in the American West as viewed from three Native up-risings on three rivers. This series covers events through 2025, and COVEN is hosting this benefit screening to help raise funds to complete the production of the film.

​Production started in 2015 along the Klamath River following the Yurok Tribe and their fight against agribusiness over water behind the Trinity Dam. In 2016, the production moved to Standing Rock to cover the Lakota's fight against the ETP oil pipeline that threatened the Missouri River, their sole source of drinking water. After ten weeks of camp life at the epic and historic Standing Rock struggle, what had been a feature documentary turned into a series. This project is being made with the cooperation of both the Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Council, and the Yurok Tribe.

​Doors open at 7pm and close at 8pm.

​Todd Darling is an award winning filmmaker whose work has appeared on MTV, ABC, HBO, PBS, USA, Discovery, on the broadcast of five Olympic Games, and in numerous feature films. In addition to this he has produced and directed six, long-form documentaries.
