Policy & Penmanship: Write to your Government Officials for Environmental Justice
Join us for an evening of nourishing food, free prizes, environmental policy action and a chance to connect and be in community with one another!
Help shape Canada’s National Strategy to Advance Environmental Justice and Address Environmental Racism. Through an informative presentation you'll learn about environmental racism and how it impacts your community. You'll be given the opportunity to engage in direct policy action and have your voice heard by writing letters to your elected officials.
By sharing your feedback, you can advocate for the needs and perspectives of impacted communities to be prioritized in the development and implementation of the National Environmental Justice Strategy.
The event is ticketed as a pay-what-you-can event to help fundraise for SUTE to be able to host more such events. Currently, there is no government funding available to host community consultations or engage the wider public in this important work. If cost is a barrier for your participation, please email us at [email protected] and we will waive it.
