About Event
To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Egyptian uprising, join us on Sunday, January 25th at 6pm for an evening of listening, chanting, and singing. We’ll share some thoughts and revolutionary sounds from both the Arab Spring and other moments of resistance across time & space from the SWANA region.
Together, we’ll contemplate the role and effects of music, both as a powerful tool for resisting oppression and a medium for keeping transgenerational memories, feelings, and spirit alive.
This event is hosted by The Nahda Project.
This event is free and open to all. We invite those who are able to make a $15 suggested donation (or more!) to help sustain Minara and the care, labor, and resources that make this space possible.
