Join us for a special panel commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl tragedy, one of the most consequential events in modern history. This discussion brings together leading scholars from UC Berkeley to reflect on Chornobyl’s enduring impact—from nuclear science and environmental restoration to economic and societal resilience.

The event will open with remarks by Dmytro Kushneruk, Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco, honoring the memory of those affected and underscoring Ukraine’s ongoing leadership in addressing nuclear safety and sustainability.
