​Wrap up Climate Tech Week in the Catskills

​Most pitch competitions end with a photo and a maybe. Ours ends with a founder actually building something in a real town. This Climate Week, we're running a live pitch-to-pilot competition in Phoenicia, and we want the founders solving rural mobility to come get in the ring. Founders pitch live in Phoenicia (small town, big heart) with real solutions to move people around Phoenicia and Pine Hill, to the doctor, to Margaretville Hospital, to everywhere rural life actually goes.

​What's on the line:

• ​🏔 A place to pilot in Phoenicia and Pine Hill, backed by the Town of Shandaken. Your idea, on the ground, for real.

• ​🦈 First shot at a residency to build with the town. Roots, capital, and a community behind you.

• ​$$ Investment consideration from our early stage and catalytic funders.

• ​🎥A spot in Hudsy's documentary on how sustainable communities actually get built.

​Who we want:
Founders moving people around places the maps forget. On-demand transit, EV shuttles, last-mile connectors, medical-trip transport, routing software. If it gets someone to work, to the doctor, to Margaretville Hospital, we want to see it. Not local? Doesn't matter. Just be ready to pitch in person.

​How it goes down:
Up to five founders. Five minutes each. A panel and audience that can't be sold a story: industry leaders, transit experts, funders, local officials and the residents who actually ride. Q&A, deliberation, winner named same day. Snacks, drinks, and real talk after.

​Not pitching? Pull up a seat. Investors, builders, town leaders, and neighbors, all in one room to watch the future of rural mobility get pitched and picked. Come for the pitches, stay for the people building the solutions.

​Phoenicia is accessible! How to get here:

​Phoenicia sits right on Route 28 in the Catskills, about 30 minutes west of Kingston. Here's how to make it in.

​Driving
The easiest way in. Phoenicia is roughly 2.5 hours from NYC, 45 minutes from the NYS Thruway (Exit 19, Kingston), straight up Route 28. There's parking in the village.

​Bus from Kingston (UCAT Z Route)
Ulster County Area Transit runs the Z Route from Kingston out to Phoenicia and Pine Hill. The Phoenicia stop is at Route 214 and Church Street, in the heart of the village. ​Getting to Kingston first
Coming from the city without a car? Trailways runs coach service from NYC (Port Authority) to Phoenicia or Kingston, where you can connect to the UCAT Z Route. Book Trailways sooner than later.

​Coming from Pine Hill or up the mountain or Upstate
The same UCAT Z Route connects Pine Hill and Phoenicia directly, with stops at Main Street and Elm Street in Pine Hill.
